I can't say enough good things about Vic Firth mills. I bought my first pepper mill well over a year ago (orange 7 inch) and I am happy to report that it still works and looks beautifully. I recently purchased the cinnabar 12 inch and I absolutely love it so I had to buy the matching salt mill for my kitchen countertop (I keep them near the stove for cooking.) These mills have a superb grinding mechanism so I get a perfect consistency each and every time.
My orange 7 inch pepper mill sits at my dinner table now and I receive a lot of compliments on it; it's great to have at the table for fresh/fine pepper for salads. It's easy to clean and the quality/craftsmanship is unmatched. A little pricey but definitely worth it. A great investment.

I was looking for a nice set of salt & pepper grinders, so I also bought the matching salt mill. I love them both! They grind with very little effort, and the grinding mechanism feels very smooth!

Love the color and quality. Vic Firth makes drum sticks, so I felt it had to be great. Works beautifully, glad I bought it. Small dent on side. Not a big deal. It was packaged well, vender probably didn't know. Minor issue, extremely happy with purchase.
